Maison Beltza is a bistronomic restaurant in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, where art and visual expression are at the very center of every meal. Here, dining isn’t just about food. It’s about being surrounded by creativity and enjoying a feast for the senses.

Maison Beltza’s visual identity starts with a logo that nods to traditional Basque letterforms, blending the old and the new in a fresh, modern way. The illustrated elements aren’t just for show; they’re inspired by the sea, the land, and the vibrant local culture, coming together as lively, abstract forms that reflect the spirit of the place.

Illustration serves as a strategic design tool, not a mere decoration. It shapes the restaurant’s visual presence across menus, event posters, printed materials, and on-site elements, enabling the brand to convey atmosphere, seasonality, and character in a consistent yet adaptable manner.

The identity is designed as a modular system: a strong logotype for everyday use, paired with richer editorial compositions for events and cultural moments. This approach ensures longevity while allowing the restaurant’s visual language to evolve over time.

Maison Beltza exemplifies how a hospitality brand can leverage art direction and illustration to craft a strong, recognizable identity that transcends food, shaping how a place is experienced and remembered.
